Why do I have to use the security box before sending an email?

everytime I send an email I have to fill out the security box before it allows me to send|||If you have sent too many e-mails in one hour, and every address counts as one e-mail you will get this 'captcha' screen because Yahoo detects ' suspicious activity', or spamming. (I believe the limit is 200 per hour, and another for each day too.) Eventually it stops being shown.





Your e-mail address may have been found in someone else's address book and is being used for spam, but you would likely get a lot of Mailer Daemon bounce-back notices.


Your own computer might be infected and used as a 'spambot' to send out mails without your knowledge. If that is the case, a thorough Deep Scan with security tools is the only way to solve the problem ...





Scans several times with your anti-virus, then the anti-malware tools listed below, in Safe Mode with Networking, which catches and cleans far more than normal boot-up mode. (Hold down the F8 key when the computer screen first lights up, until you hear a beep or see a new dark screen. Then use the arrow keys and Enter to get to Safe Mode with Networking) Be sure you are logged in as an Administrator. Re-boot into Safe Mode for each scan.





When the scan runs clean, update all tools used before (except Housecall) and run again with the updated files. First run your regular anti-virus program, then you should scan with several different anti-malware programs, since they catch different things, but only one should run constantly.

Once clean, remove all System Restore points (Start %26gt; Programs %26gt; Accessories %26gt; System Tools %26gt; System Restore %26gt; delete ... small, in left panel) for XP or (Start %26gt; Right click Computer %26gt; Properties %26gt; System Protection), select any hard drives with protection on, press Configure..., and turn off system protection. Then re-enable it (deletes all restore points). before re-booting for Windows 7. This prevents any malware from re-installing itself. Of course, once you re-boot in Normal Mode, re-set a new System Restore point right away. If you have detected malware on your computer, change all of your passwords after cleaning up the infection.
