Is this latest yahoo email security question thing legit?

I have been getting 'reminders' when I log into my yahoo email that they are increasing security by having you add security questions. Now suddenly it says I can't use the email until I add this. Has anyone else encountered this and is it legitimately Yahoo?|||Yes this is happening, just be sure it's not a email asking for all your personal info, like your password and birthdate, etc. That is a phishing scam.|||I have not gotten any of this. However, I do stay logged in all the time because I don't share a computer. But the times I do logout and go to log back in I have not seen this. I would contact Yahoo and ask them.|||The same thing happened to me. I finally filled it out last week and haven't had any repercussions so far. I didn't give them my phone numbers, however. But I got the same message - I couldn't get into my email unless I answered the security questions.
